Description

ANTMINER  S5

The Antminer S5 builds on the S1 and S3 foundations but has the more efficient BM1384 chip. Bitmain’s Antminer S1 was deliver to the market a little more than a year prior. To mine, diggers don’t need to forfeit space or commotion levels. The Antminer  was the primary home excavator’s staple, and it was moved up to the Antminer S3 seven months after the fact.

The New Cooling Solution

  • The top of the chips will heat up, as they are power by a chain-style design on the PCB. This PCB layout concentrates heat on one side of the board making heat diffusion efficient.
  • Two heat sinks made from aluminium draw heat to the center of the miner. This allows for the S5 to be keep cool and quiet by one fan.

Chip Specifications: BM1384

The BM1384, Bitmain’s third generation Bitcoin mining ASIC is a significant improvement over the BM1382 chip. The hashrate per voltage 0.75V has been increased by more than 20% and power consumption reduced by 30%. This is the result months of hard work, investment and dedication to the Bitcoin ecosystem.
